How my Wait List works:
Order
I work in order of both technique and date added. I do about 10 weaving techniques and rotate them daily to keep repetitive motion injuries at bay.
Time Estimate
Every chair takes a different amount of time- typically anywhere from 2-20 hours, special projects up to 50 hours or more. I am currently operating on a part-time basis as I am a full time mom to small children. My work time, material back orders, chair conditions, space, etc... are all fluctuating factors. I give each chair the attention and craftsmanship it requires. Please be aware that any estimates for time on the Wait List are my best approximation with the information I have at the time, not a guarantee.
Wait List Updates
Email updates are sent from time-to-time where you are able to see your progress in line.
When Your Number Comes Up
Once your spot in line comes up I will contact you to set up an appointment to bring in your chairs. I will attempt to contact you 3 times. If I don't hear back I will place you on my will call list and it will be up to you to contact me. If I contact you at a busy time or out of town just let me know when you are ready and I will fit you in accordingly.
Deposit
No deposit required to be on the wait list. However, a deposit may be required at time of drop-off (see Policies below).
In the Mean Time
If you have any finish or structural repairs that need to be made to the chair, it is generally best that they are addressed before new weaving goes in. Contact me with any questions.
Cancellation
If you decide not to go forward with weaving restoration and would like to be removed from the Wait List just let me know- there is no obligation.

Policies
Appointments- During your appointment I am then able to give you the following before deciding on restoration:
For orders of 3 or more chairs: 50% down payment due at time of drop-off.
Out of Area Clients: 50% down payment due at time of drop-off.
Payment is due in full at time of pick-up. I accept cash, check, major credit cards, PayPal. Credit cards are processed through Square or PayPal- there is a 3.25% service charge on each charge, and receipts are available via email or text only.
Appointment Cancellations- Appointments are made especially for you and my time is valuable. If you cannot keep an appointment please contact me ASAP to let me know and reschedule. My policy is after two no-show/blown appointments or chronic re-scheduling I will go on to the next client, thank you for your interest.
General rule of thumb is to leave the old weaving in. However, if you are having repairs to the structure or refinishing the surface and need to remove the weaving, take a photo of the weaving so that I can be sure to reference for the new weaving.
Re-glueing rungs/joints and structural repairs, if needed, begin at $30. If repairs needed are more than I am comfortable tackling, I will refer you to a restorations specialist (or one of your choice) before I will accept the chair.
All weaving is done with bare materials. Staining to match is very difficult and toxic and is best left to a restoration specialist.
Storage Fee- Due to limited space there is a $15 a week storage fee for each item remaining 30 days after first completion notice.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
This is a home business and the health and safety of my workshop, home, and family are top priority.
Parameters for accepting work:
Cleaning Fee- Before bringing your chair(s), please take a moment to give them a dusting or wipe down, if needed, as they are coming directly into our home- especially if they have been in storage, a barn, have been affected by mildew, or just generally need a good cleaning. Otherwise there is a cleaning fee starting at $20. In extreme cases I will not accept the chair(s).
Smoke-Free Only- I accept work from smoke free homes only due to the danger of thirdhand smoke. All items come into our smoke-free home with small children.
Chippy Paint / Lead Paint- I reserve the right to refuse restorations due to possible lead paint exposure. This is a home business.
- Full Cost With Sales Tax due in full at time of pick-up.
- Weaving Replacement Option Samples
- Evaluate Current Condition
- Assess Any Structural Repair Needs
